Yes, the 2026-27 model papers are out
KSEAB has published the SSLC model question papers for 2026-27 along with model answers, in four sets per subject, as reported by Careers360 on 8 September 2026. Some third-party sites still say they are pending, so treat kseab.karnataka.gov.in as the final word. Registration for the 2027 SSLC board exam (Exam 1) opened in October 2026, and the board also raised the exam fee by 5%, so keep an eye on your school's circulars.
How to download the SSLC model papers, step by step

Treat each set as a real exam, not reading material
Reading a model paper tells you what the paper looks like. Writing it tells you where you lose marks. Set a timer for the full 3 hours 15 minutes, write the paper without opening your notes, and only then check it against the model answers.
Note the chapter behind every lost mark
After each paper, write down the chapter for every question you got wrong or skipped. By the fourth set, the same few chapters will keep showing up. Those chapters, not the ones you already know, are where your next revision week should go.
How to practise with each subject's model paper
| Subject | What to do with the model paper |
|---|---|
| Kannada / English | Time the writing sections too. Practise letters, essays and comprehension answers within the marks given, and compare your answers with the model answer for structure. |
| Mathematics | Attempt the full paper in one sitting and show every step of the working. Check where the model answer awards step-wise marks. |
| Science | Practise labelled diagrams and short, precise definitions. Mark the chapters where you could not recall a term or a figure. |
| Social Science | Practise map work and dates alongside the written answers. Note the chapters where you ran out of time. |
Always check the subject's blueprint on the KSEAB site for the exact mark split. Revision help for these chapters, including video lessons, notes and doubt-solving, is available through Parikshe.

SSLC model paper FAQs
Has KSEAB released the SSLC model question papers for 2027?
According to Careers360's update of 8 September 2026, KSEAB has published the 2026-27 SSLC model question papers with model answers, in four sets per subject. A few other sites still say they are pending, so confirm on kseab.karnataka.gov.in, which is the only authoritative source.
Where can I download the Karnataka SSLC model papers?
On the official KSEAB website, kseab.karnataka.gov.in. Open 'SSLC Student Corner', then 'Model Question Papers and Model Answers for 2026-27 SSLC Examinations', and download the subject-wise sets along with their answers.
Will the actual SSLC 2027 paper match the model paper?
No. Model papers show the question format, the types of questions and the marking approach. The questions in the real paper will be different, so use the model papers to learn the pattern rather than to guess questions.
How many model papers should I solve?
Try to attempt all four sets for each subject, ideally in one sitting and within the exam time. This year's mid-term (SA 1) question papers are also useful extra practice, since they come from the same academic year.
Are model question papers enough to score well in SSLC?
They are a practice and pattern guide, not a replacement for the textbook. Use them to find the chapters where you lose marks, then go back and revise those chapters properly.
